ProgrammingHere are some of my coding efforts. They are all released as freeware and as such I offer no guarantee as to compatibility or stability! But if you don't mind, please take the time to click on these ads - it helps fund my coding obsession!
Downloads Active. These downloads are quite popular. If my monthly bandwidth keeps maxing out (I've got 10Gb per month) then the downloads will be removed for the rest of that billing period. If just 1 in 1000 people donated £5 for the software, I'd be covered and I would leave the downloads up.

Net Radio v1.11This small application brings you internet radio onto your desktop. After moving from Vista back to XP (my PC at least didn't work well with Vista) I missed the radio player gadget that Vista provided, and I couldn't find an internet radio player that I liked - ultra small and simple. So I made one! v1.11 additions The icon is now removed from the system tray before the application exits. New icon made for this version with transparency rather than the quick version I did for previous releases v 1.1 additions Added an information label under the checkbox. It will display the station details, or bitrate, or player state underneath.
If you are updating, you just need to copy the new .exe to where you have your Net Radio folder. Be careful you don't overwrite your own radio stations with the default list! Filename: NetRadio_1.11.zip 235kb
Previous Version 1.0: Filename: NetRadio.zip 125kb

Sudoku Solver v1.1 for Pocket PCDownload: Sudoku Solver v1.1 1497kb This application works on the Pocket PC platform and will generate sudoku puzzles as well as solve manually entered ones. This application requires the eVB runtime files for your pocket PC, available from microsoft. If you are running PPC 2002, the eVB runtime files might not be necessary. If you are running PPC2003 you should install them first. If you can suggest any improvements to the Sudoku Solver, feel free to leave a comment in the guestbook or email me. Now updated to v1.1! This a major change to the game. A full menu interface has been coded in, making room for a quick selection numberpad underneath the game grid. The game also plays as a wordoku game as well. New graphics and sounds included finish the polish on this game. Many new tweaks and improvements - read the readme for full details. The app has a full installer again, and the archive is quite large (1497kb) Installed on my HP IPAQ device it uses 664kb. Now updated to v1.05! Thanks to all who suggested improvements to the game. Now there is an options screen where you can select the colour scheme of the grid and you can choose from 10 sudoku grids to play on and save to. You can also put underlined numbers in selected cells as an indication of guesses until you are ready to commit to them or erase them. It also locks out the original game cells to the player, so they cannot be altered by accident. I'm also packaging this differently. Now it comes as a zip with a setup wizard that should work through activesync to install on your device (well, it works on mine :) ) Consequently the zip is much larger. This is needed as I need to make sure that the options file and 10 sudoku grid files are installed in the same place as the app, otherwise it will give errors as it loads up. Feel free to suggest more improvements to the game, but as you can see I'm running out of space to put buttons at the bottom!!
Download the readme. 481kb Now updated to v1.04! This is a major revision. The app makes instant Sudoku at 4 levels of difficulty, Easy, Moderate, Hard and Fiendish. It solves generated ones instantly too. Inputted Sudoku still take some time but the logic has been improved so it should solve more complex puzzles if entered. You can now make the original puzzle bold so you can see what numbers you have entered, and the game can give you hints if you are stuck completely to get you back on track. For those who asked, here is a readme. Well, it's a VIEWME actually :) Now updated to v1.03! Thanks to David Rowlands for spotting a very obvious bug with the top left cell. I'll update the pic as and when :) Now updated to v1.02! This release includes a check function for the current grid (please note this is just a rule-break checker, not a solution checker. There can be no rules broken in a fundamentally flawed sudoku that will not solve!). it removes the second creation method until a rewrite of the creator is done, and it introduces some easter eggs.
